Climbing is awesome, but the gear can be confusing to navigate. Learn about the climbing and bouldering equipment you need to try this great outdoor sport. We help by reviewing climbing shoes, carabiners, crash pads, harnesses, ropes, helmets, and more!
Climbing and bouldering is a great way to get out and explore nature. Climbing is a sport that can be done in many ways. Climbers have the option to climb indoors, outdoors, bouldering-only, or lead climbing with ropes. Bouldering is when climbers do short climbs without wearing a harness or rope and are only allowed to jump off of the wall onto mats below them. This type of climbing requires quick movements and skills in balance because you don’t have time for second chances! Here at The Hiking Adventure, we have all the gear you need to try climbing or bouldering including shoes, bouldering crash pads, ropes, chalk bags, and more. We also provide advice about how to start off with both sports as well as reviews of some of our favorite climbing/bouldering destinations around North America. So if you are looking for something new this summer that will keep you active while exploring the outdoors check out our guides.
