Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro 12RK

Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro 12RK

As you’ve probably noticed, we’re quite big fans of Forest River, with this being the third trailer from them that we’ve featured on this list.

However, we promise you that this model deserves a spot just as much as any other trailer here.

The Rockwood Geo Pro 12RK is the only floor plan of the seven in this line that has a price tag smaller than $10,000. Consequently, it is smaller than the other models in the line, however, it does boast some great key features.

Specifically, it boasts a 20,000 BTU furnace, tinted bonded frameless windows, a 6-sided aluminum cage construction, and a wi-fi ranger.

As such, this trailer has everything you need to enjoy tailgating get-togethers or fun weekends camping.

Gulf Stream Ameri-Lite Super Lite 16BHC Travel Trailer

Gulf Stream Ameri-Lite Super Lite 16BHC Travel Trailer

Gulf Stream has something of a loyal following that seems to get larger each year. They have a reputation for producing innovative and quality trailers, and the Gulf Stream Ameri-Lite Super Lite 16HC Travel Trailer is no exception.

It has a primarily aluminum and wood construction with a surprisingly small hitch weight rating of just 330lbs. As such, this trailer can be towed by a mid-sized SUV, as long as it has a sturdy tow package.

Additionally, it boasts a full bathroom, which includes a sink, a flushing toilet, and a decent-sized shower stall.

The kitchen is home to a small refrigerator that is particularly durable - so it will survive as you drive over those pesky gravel roads!

It is worth noting that the master bed isn’t a great size. It can fit two people, but it is unlikely to do so very comfortably.

However, there are two bunk beds in the back, so we recommend this trailer for small families who want to go on short trips.

Pros

  • Light Hitch Weight Rating - can be towed fairly easily.
  • Full Bathroom - great considering the price.
  • Durable Kitchen Fittings - will last in spite of difficult driving conditions.

This model has a super-stylish retro design and is very practical.

This trailer was designed to look like a classic, 1960s vintage trailer. It has a simple and cool look on the outside, but it boasts some innovative and modern features on the inside! For instance, the roof can actually be used as a boat!

No… we’re not kidding! The trailer comes equipped with oars too. As such, this is an ideal trailer for those of you who enjoy exploring the great outdoors via rivers, lakes, and oceans.

It also comes with a tailgate that is perfect for storing and preparing food.

And, if you are concerned that the boat roof is the only thing that this trailer has going for it - we want to assure you, that is definitely not the case!

Pros

  • Retro-Style - very unique and cool.
  • Boat Roof - ideal for people who love outdoor sports.

For example, this trailer comes equipped with a bed, a kitchenette, a Bluetooth-enabled stereo, a powerful air conditioning unit, and a TV mount.

On the roof, there is also a gear rack, so you can transport all of your outdoor gear with ease!

If you’re concerned about the stability of trailers such as this one, you don’t need to be concerned when it comes to the Braxton Creek Teardrop Bushwacker.

This model is fitted with a rear-mounted stabilizer, which prevents it from rocking.

This trailer can be towed by a truck or an SUV as it is very lightweight. However, considering the size, it is at the higher end of the price range.

The mid-sized kitchen and refrigerator should be large enough for most circumstances. However, if you are traveling with a number of hungry children, we recommend taking a large cooler bag of goodies along with you.

Pros

  • High Payload Capacity - very practical.
  • Full-Sized Bed - makes for a comfortable trip.
  • Private Bunk Beds - perfect for families.

Jayco Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailer

Jayco Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailer

Jayco is a company that is well-known for producing affordable but good-quality RVs and trailers. The Jayco Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailer is an ideal choice for a couple or single-parent family that wants comfort when they Travel.

It is worth noting up front that the optional extras may push this trailer over the $10,000 budget. So, if you’re looking for something firmly below that price, one of the other options on this list might be better.

However, we do believe that the extra costs associated with this trailer are worth it. It is lightweight with a hitch weight of just 220lbs, making it super easy to tow. You could even use a light-duty pickup truck.

Whilst this low weight does come at the cost of smaller water tanks, this shouldn’t be an issue if you plan on using a park that provides water resources.

Pros

  • Hitch Weight Of 220lbs - very easy to tow.
  • Great Storage - perfect for weekends away.
  • Good Insulation & Heater - will keep you warm in the cooler months.

Cons

  • Small Water & Waste Tanks - will need to plan ahead to account for this.

When you think of retro-style trailers and RVs, it is unlikely that Riverside is the brand that comes to mind. However, they have an awesome line of retro, teardrop trailers that look amazing and are very practical!

We recommend the 509 in particular. It has an awesome design and is the smallest and cheapest one in the line. It is very compact, but still features a queen-sized bed, a small kitchen, and a fair amount of storage space.

Thanks to its small size, this trailer can be towed and parked pretty much anywhere! That’s why we recommend this model to couples or singles who enjoy spontaneously getting away and exploring the great outdoors.

However, it is the style and design of this model that really sets it apart from others. Not only does it have a simple but retro exterior, but it also boasts an effortlessly cool interior. The checkerboard floors will make you feel as if you’re stepping into a 50’s diner!
